I have been doing NoFap for around 5 years. NoFap pulled me out of a rut and fixed most my issues (depression, social anxiety mostly) - except my hairloss increased after NoFap. And then I went on Propecia and fucked it all up.
PFS is very similar to the NoFap flatline. People who masturbate a lot have a lot of the same issues, especially once they quit porn and masturbation: vision problems, numb penis, no erections, anhedonia, zero libido, depression, anxiety. And it took months for me to get better. Although it always had a positive impact on me.
NoFap is definitely a good thing to do.
I also read a guy who had PFS for a long time and once he quit masturbating and quit doing excessive working out he recovered from it. I read it on PropeciaHelp. This was not too long ago. I think he recovered after 10+ years a few months ago.
I also notice I feel better when I do not exercise. It is incomparable. So that is why I am going to train smarter instead of making my body tired constantly. I was already doing a lot less than I used to and I even had better gains. So I am going to give my body more rest for 2-3 months, see what it does. I will still train but smarter - in the 70%-75% range.
Now you could say he did not have PFS or this and that. But as you can see a lot of side effects can overlap. Masturbation is not healthy especially when you are already sick.
The trick with NoFap is to see that you have been conditioned to pornography and it is used to keep you enslaved. Do you want to be a slave?

Force yourself to not fantasise for a while. And just cut out masturbation as an option. A lot of shit will come up. Because most men masturbate more when they are stressed or lonely. Deal with the problems. Learn how to deal with stress other ways. Look it straight in the eyes.
